My Cheatin' Heart at the Burnham Hotel
Well, I think I've been cheating a little too much on my meals since my birthday last week. Last night my wife took me out for a belated/rescheduled birthday celebration to the historic Chicago landmark Hotel Burnham for dinner. What an amazing meal. Coincidentally I'm reading a book who's main character built this hotel; Daniel Burnham, Chicago's famous turn-of-the-century architect revolutionary.Anyway, back to all these cheat meals. I gotta get it under control and burn of some major calories this weekend. I've also started toying around with a Fit Day account. It's very interesting and eye opening to count your calories. It's a little cumbersome to use day-in and day-out, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I think it will help a lot.

I think you'll find tracking your calories helpful, especially if you're gauging what you're taking in over 5 or 6 meals in comparison to the recommended total (for weight loss) based on your stats. It is cumbersome, but so is a gut. HA... couldn't resist. :) Seriously, once I started keeping track by entering and saving my own foods, it was pretty quick. Then, at the end of the day, I'd check it out before my last two meals to make sure I didn't go too far over/under. Anyway, best of luck with it. Keep us up to speed on what you think of FitDay.
